Technorati Sale Rumors Include MySpace and News Corp.

Posted on August 12, 2005

Bloggers are posting rumors started by BL Ochman that Technorati is about to be sold. Some bloggers say it could be News Corp. which recently acquired MySpace.com. That would give News Corp. quite the double whammy.

There are a number of rumors out there. There are several blogs hoping Google will acquire Technorati. The Roo-minations blog would love to see "Technorati's approach incorporated into either Yahoo or Google." There are also blogs suggesting the blogging search ranking site could be scooped up by Amazon.

Robert Scoble has an email in to David Sifry, the CEO of Technorati, to see if they really are on the block. This would be huge news for the blogosphere if any of the rumors are true.
