Ten Finalists for 2013 Man Booker International Prize Announced

The ten finalists for the fifth Man Booker International Prize have been announced. The prize is awarded every two years to a living author who has published fiction either originally in English or whose work is available in English as a translation. The list includes authors from nine different countries. Here is a list of the finalists:

The winner will be announced in London on May 22, 2013. Author Philip Roth won the prize in 2011. The award carries a 60,000 pound prize (about $94.728 U.S.).
