Posted on May 29, 2013
Tiger Eyes is the first film ever adapted from a Judy Blume novel. This is surprising as Judy Blume has written so many popular novels for young adults. Tiger Eyes was first published in 1981.
The film was made by writer-director Lawrence Blume. It stars actress Willa Holland (Arrow) as Davey (Tiger) and Amy Jo Johnson as her mother. The film is slated to arrive in theaters on June 7, 2013. Davey moves from Atlantic City, NJ to New Mexico. She does a lot of pondering about death following the loss of her farther in the trailer.
