the cast of Cold Mountain, which is adapted and being directed

War novel of the same name.

forces to bring Philip Pullman's Whitbread
Award-winning His Dark Materials trilogy to the screen,
it was announced by Toby Emmerich, New Line Cinema's president
of production and Deborah Forte, producer of the project and
executive vice president of Scholastic Entertainment.
DreamWorks Acquires Film Rights to Terry Pratchett's Bromeliad Trilogy (2001-05-02): DreamWorks has acquired
the film and television rights to Terry Pratchett's bestselling
fantasy novels Truckers, Diggers and Wings, known
collectively as the Bromeliad trilogy, it was announced
by DreamWorks principal Jeffrey Katzenberg.
