Tori Spelling to Pen Memoir
Posted on December 4, 2006
Tori Spelling has announced that she will write a candid memoir, in which she will discuss her life, her father Aaron Spelling and her famous fued with her mother, Candy.
The "Beverly Hills 90210" alumna, who has been spoofing her rich-kid reputation on VH1's "so noTORIous," is working on a memoir to be published in 2008 by Simon Spotlight Entertainment, a division of Simon & Schuster. "We all think we know who Tori Spelling is because she has grown up in the public eye, but her book will give readers a chance to know the real Tori _ a funny and resilient young woman with a fascinating story to tell," Jennifer Bergstrom, Vice President and Publisher of Simon Spotlight, said Monday in a statement. The book is currently untitled; financial terms were not disclosed. We think this proves that Tori is telling the truth: she really is broke because Candy somehow made sure she won't see much of her father's substantial estate. So Tori is going to earn money the only way she can. Somehow we don't think this book is going to help relations between Tori and Candy, though.Spelling, 33, the daughter of television producer Aaron Spelling, who died last June, is a gossip column fixture, from her marriage to actor Dean McDermott to her reported estrangement from her mother, Candy.
According to Simon Spotlight, Spelling "will let readers experience the truly unique life of Tori Spelling -- from childhood privileges to tabloid misperceptions, success and regrets, and ultimately her quest to define herself on her own terms."
