WH Smith has finally entered the ebook market by partnering with Kobo, a Canadian ebook reader manufacturer. The Guardian reports that WH Smith will sell two version of the Kobo reader. The Kobo ereader provides access to over 2.2 million books.

WH Smith CEO Kate Swann told reuters that they expected ebook sales to complement the bookstore's paperback and hardcover book sales. She said, "The reason that we're moving aggressively into e-books is because we believe if e-books are ultimately successful that they'll be incremental for us given our physical books customer base tend to be lighter book readers."

WH Smith will sell Kobo readers in over 750 stores.
