USA Today Launches New Life Section

Beginning Friday, March 20, USA Today's Life section takes on a new look as it becomes two distinct sections The sections will be titled "Weekend Life" and "Destinations & Diversions." The format change allows for more space to be devoted to weekend entertainment and travel news.

"Weekend Life" focuses on entertainment, including new movies, videos, TV shows, albums, books and computer games. The TV listings have been expanded to include Saturday and Sunday listings.

"Destinations & Diversions" features expanded coverage of travel issues including travel advice and trends along with more stories on food, wine and dining out. USA Today's weekly "Test Drive" automotive column by James Healey also will be included in the new section.

"This is the first major format change in our history and we're looking forward to the opportunity to give our readers an expanded entertainment and travel report each Friday," said Dave Mazzarella, editor, USA Today.
