Usher to Host Live Webcast to Promote Scholastic's Literacy Program

Scholastic has a new partner for its literacy outreach program: R&B superstar and education advocate Usher Raymond IV, better known as Usher. The program is called "Open a World of Possible."

Open a World of Possible is all about promoting reading at home and in the classroom. Having a star like Usher is a big coup for Scholastic. He an amazing singer and dancer, and he is great with kids. Put all that together and it's bound to be a success.

On November 6, 2014, at 1:00 pm ET/12:00 pm CT Usher will host a live webcast called Bigger Than Words about the program. Usher will talk about the importance of books live from Scholastic's headquarters in New York City. He also says he'll sing a little.

Usher has sold more than 23 million copies of his albums just in the U.S. Globally, he has sold more than 65 million albums.He has won eight Grammy Awards and has topped the Billboard charts for years, being one of the bestselling music artists in the world.
