Wesley Clark Denies Rumors He's Writing a Sitcom

Posted on January 8, 2005

Despite a report in the always-reliable National Enquirer, former presidential candidate Wesley Clark has no plans to write and produce a new television sitcom about the hilarious antics of a general. According to the Associated Press, the retired four-star general is involved in various television projects to go with his private security and technology consulting business. The rumor apparently got started when Clark was approached to serve as a technical adviser for a show that hasn't even been made into a pilot. Erick Mullen, Clark's spokesman, stated that General has no plans to write or act in a tv show. Thank goodness. The idea of General Clark, the former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, spending his time writing bad jokes for some kind of Major Dad show is just so....wrong.
