Posted on February 8, 2015

Whole Foods Market has partnered with The World of Eric Carle for a line of special cereal boxes. Whole Foods' 365 Everyday Value cereal boxes will feature games for children and artwork by Carle. The artwork includes the children's favorite, The Very Hunger Caterpillar.

The cereal boxes pictured above feature Carle's hungry caterpillar on the bottom left side. The cereals are Little Cubbies, Rainbow Morning O's and Honey & Nut Morning O's. Other cereals will also feature the artwork and games, including Organic Crunchy Cinnamon Squares and Organic Frosted Flakes.

The deal between The World of Eric Carle and Whole Foods was brokered by the Joester Loria Group. This is not the first time Eric Carle has collaborated with a cereal company. Boxes of Cheerios featuring Eric Carle's artwork launched on store shelves on March 2007.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is Eric Carle's most famous children's book. It has been translated into over 60 languages and sold over 38 million copies since it was published in 1969. Carle has written and illustrated over 70 picture books. Information about his picture books can be found on the website for The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art at picturebookart.org.
