Posted on March 9, 2011

Google honored comic book creator Will Eisner with a special Google Doodle on March 6th. Will Eisner, who created The Spirit, would have been 94 if he was still alive today.

Eisner also wrote books about creating graphic novels. He has a comic industry award named after him, The Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards. The logo was designed by comic artist Scott McCloud, who also wrote an interesting article about Eisner here.
