Will Ferrell Accepts The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, Then Drops It

Comedian and actor Will Ferrell was presented with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Kennedy Center.
The Mark Twain Prize recognizes people who have affected American society in a way similar to Samuel Clemens, who was better known by his pen name, Mark Twain. The 19th century novelist and essayist excelled at social commentary and satire.
In this video clip from the evening, Ferrell accepts his award and promptly drops it. He was then forced to give his acceptance speech, which was all about how he will keep the bust of Mark Twain safe for eternity. Take a look:
