Posted on March 31, 2015

The tenth entry in the popular Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney will be published on November 3, 2015. It will be published simultaneously worldwide in over 90 countries on that date. Kinney will also take a world author tour in November.

Kinney says in a statement, "For me, the most surprising thing about Diary of a Wimpy Kid has been how kids of different cultures around the world have embraced Greg Heffley. I'm very excited that we're able to simultaneously publish in so many languages, and I'm eager to meet as many fans as I can across the world."

A teaser cover is pictured above which says, "Cranking it up to 10." The official cover for book ten will be revealed on April 27 in New York City. Kinney will make the announcement on XM Sirius satellite radio with kid's host Absolutely Mindy.

The first Wimpy Kid novel was published in 2007. The ninth book in the series sold over 2 million copies worldwide in its first week. The series has over 150 million copies in print worldwide. The books are published by Abrams Books.

Update 4-28-15: The title of book ten has been revealed as Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School. The black color is meant to be associated with the color of ink. Kinney says, ""For the tenth book, I wanted to bring things back to basics. And nothing says 'Old School' for a cartoonist more than black, the color of ink."

The book is available for pre-order on Amazon.com. The Amazon entry for book ten says Greg starts a new school year and faces a challenge he never could have imagined. The publisher Abrams says Wimpy Kid Greg Heffley takes a trip to a farm. The book also deals with a generation gap between the kids and their chaperones.

Update: The title is Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book 10. Here's a teaser from author Jeff Kinney.
