Posted on October 16, 2000

Yahoo Internet Life, a lifestyle magazine covering the Internet, has named David Thomas as Executive Editor and Don Willmott as Technology Editor. The announcement was made by Yahoo Internet Life Editor in Chief Barry Golson.

``The addition of both Dave and Don to our team reflects our steady growth and underscores our mission of covering for our readers all the Web has to offer,'' Golson said. ``Given Dave's varied journalistic background and Don's vast knowledge of life and tech in the Internet age, I am thrilled to welcome them aboard as we continue to engage, empower, educate, and entertain Net enthusiasts.''

David Thomas comes to Yahoo Internet Life from Deja.com, where he served as Features Producer, coordinating the deployment and conceptualization of special content. Prior to his work in the Online world, Thomas was Editor in Chief of POZ, a general-interest magazine for people affected by HIV/AIDS. In addition to his work at POZ, Thomas has held various editorial positions at Individual Investor, Positively Aware and Outside. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and of Northwestern University's Medill Graduate School of Journalism.

``I was attracted to Yahoo Internet Life, not only because of its wide reach but also because it has become an indispensable tool and vital resource for the ever-growing community of Web surfers,'' Thomas says.

Before joining Yahoo Internet Life as the magazine's first Technology Editor, Don Willmott spent fourteen years at PC Magazine, where he held several positions, including Associate Editor, New Products Editor, and Executive Editor of software coverage. During his tenure at PC Magazine, Willmott spent four years managing the content of the magazine's website and writing the magazine's Backspace humor column. Willmott earned a BA in English Literature from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.

Yahoo Internet Life has grown its circulation rate base from 100,000 to 1 million since its launch in 1996. In January 2001, the rate base will again increase to 1.1 million. Yahoo! Internet Life is a monthly publication of Ziff Davis Media.
