Posted on September 8, 2005

The Yammys, or the the Yahoo! Video Search Awards started on July 27, 2005 where the public submitted their personal videos in five different categories: pets, bloppers, road trips, office humor and I can't believe it. Submissions ended on August 17th and Yahoo! combed thru all the entries and selected the top 3 in each category.

The public can now vote on their favorites. Voting ends on September 12, 2005 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Voters can also enter for a chance to win a Casio EX-S500. The Grand Prize Winner will be announced on September 19, 2005. Celebrity judges Jenny McCarthy, Kelly Monaco, and Pauly Shore will be selecting their favorite video out of the top 15 semi-finalists. The Yammys were created to promote Yahoo's video search tool.
