Young Bloggers Admit to Being Blog Addicts

Posted on June 14, 2005

These young bloggers don't mind being called blog addicts. INQ7 has a new feature going called, You Blog Addict. It includes features and interviews with a blogging college student. The interviews include questions about how blogging has impacted their lives and what blogging tools they use.

Here is an excerpt from an interview with "blog addict" Pamela Almeda, a scholar studying in Singapore's Nanyang Technological University.

Pamela explains why blogging is addictive. She says, "Blogging is very addictive. In a sense you feel empowered whenever you voice out certain opinions or simply share whatever musings you've got on life in general. Plus, it's a great way to reach your circle. I mean not everyone will be a loyal fan of your site -- that's a given (and a good thing). It's comforting though to know that the people who matter most to you can drop by from time to time and know what's been happening to you lately."

Blogging is part of the lifestyle for many of today's tech-savvy young adults. It can be addictive but it is also getting young people writing and expressing their thoughts and ideas about the world.
