YouTube Adds Video Editor

Posted on September 18, 2011

YouTube added a new video editor last week. The editor includes features like trim (which lets you shorten a video) and stabilize (which reduces camera shake). Other features let you adjust the color and brightness. There are also some effects you can add to the video, such as cartoon or black and white.

You can read more about the editing features here on Google's support site.

Google warns in its FAQ that it only lets you edit and save videos that have 1,000 views or less. Once a video passes 1,000 views you only have to the option to use "Save as," which creates a new video.
