Ziff Davis Media Inc. has launched CIO Insight, a monthly publication that serves the information technology (IT) and business information needs of senior-level technology executives. The May 2001 issue, with a controlled circulation of 50,000, features a folio of 106 pages, including more than 50 ad pages. The company mailed the publication to readers this past Friday. CIO Insight Publisher and Vice President Stephen Veith and Editor-in-Chief Ellen Pearlman, spearheaded the launch issue.

``In every issue of CIO Insight, we are delivering CIOs the strategic perspective and insightful expert opinions they seek to help them navigate through this quickly evolving business and technology environment, Pearlman said. ''We're also providing them with qualitative and quantitative research that they can apply to their work experience,`` Pearlman added.

The premiere issue of CIO Insight features articles covering Web-hosting security, calculating return on investment, managing teams and creating wireless strategies. In addition, this month's research study revealed that outsourcing critical applications is a fast-growing trend. The publication is magazine size and perfect bound. CIO Insight complements Ziff Davis Media's existing roster of superior business technology publications. They are eWeek, PC Magazine, Interactive Week, The Net Economy, Smart Partner and Ziff Davis Smart Business.
